Nine streetwear labels have joined force to create a special edition t-shirt to raise funds Gianna Floyd, the six-year-old daughter of George Floyd who was murdered by four police officers in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020.
In addition to Fear Of God, participants include Melody Ehsani, Union Los Angeles, Noah, Off-White, Awake NY, Just Don, Denim Tears and Pyer Moss. Made in Los Angeles and offered in either black or white, the t-shirt is detailed with Gianna Floyd’s initials on the front and a list of participating brands on the back. Priced at $100 USD all the proceeds of the tees will go to the official Gianna Floyd fund.
Announcing the effort on Instagram, Fear of God designer Jeremy Lorenzo, who organized the fundraiser, wrote, “our FG is a GF now… in honor of George Floyd, the life lived and in support of the generation after him, we are supporting the link in bio, the Gianna Floyd Fund (George Floyd’s Daughter)… standing in solidarity, with other independent and minority owned businesses, we’re donating all money raised tomorrow thru the sale of a limited run of GF tees.”
The Gianna Floyd will be sold on Fear of God’s Instagram at 9:00 AM PST.
