California staple Vans has linked with animated series The Simpsons for a capsule collection of footwear and apparel starring the famous family along with their friends and associates.
Created by Matt Groening and first broadcast in December 1989, The Simpsons is the longest running scripted series in television history. In case you just landed here from another planet, the Springfield, Illinois-based family is headed by husband and wife, Homer Simpson and Marge Bouvier, who are the parents of three children. 10-year-old Bart, eight-year-old activist Lisa and baby Maggie.
Vans and The Simpsons footwear offerings include a purple Lisa Simpson Sk8-Hi, an Itchy and Scratchy Old Skool and a Chukka playing off of Bart’s graffiti-loving alter ego, El Barto. Our person fave its the Slip-On Sandal inspired by the the pink glazed donuts Homer is known to adore.
In addition to sneakers, the collection includes hoodies, long-sleeve t-shirts, t-shirts, crossbody bags, backpacks, bucket hats and caps, among other items. All of it is perfect for back to school outfits for those of you going back to school.
Vans last collaborated with The Simpsons in 2013 on an effort that included the work of multiple artists. KAWS, No Neck, Futura, Stash, Mr. Cartoon and more provided Simpsons-inspired artwork which was featured on either a Vans Chukka or Sk8-Mid.
Vans and The Simpsons shoe and apparel collection is set to launch on Vans online site on August 7, 2020.
