Bronx natives JJGrant and ClubBum joined forces on a unisex shoe and clothing capsule titled “Grow the Fck Up.” Making a statement on the need for humans to evolve and grow, the capsule includes a unisex shirt and shorts plus a custom Nike Air Force 1 sneaker whose Swoosh has been hand-painted with a rose-colored “Growth Check” using Golden acrylic paint. Each sneaker is also detailed with one of JJGrants three robot motifs: JJ, Ella and Amigo.
Press on the “Grow the Fck Up” capsule reads, “It is vital that we evolve not only as a culture but as individuals. You could never be ready for growth, it will be uncomfortable. It may even be unfamiliar BUT growth is needed, from babyhood to childhood, childhood to adolescence, and adolescence to adulthood we experience enormous changes. Notice those changes, accept them. Embrace the new you…GROW THE FCK UP.”
