Milan-based Prada has tapped American actress Yara Shahidi for a campaign highlighting the label’s sporty Linea Rossa offerings, described as “modern, high-performance clothes engineered to the needs of dynamic life.”
Shahidi was photographed by Bronx-born photographer Renell Medrano, who’s recent efforts include work with GQ, Paper, Garage and Vogue Italia, among others.
The campaign also features Chinese actress and dancer Jin Chen, South-Korean musician and producer Chanyeol Park, each shot by different photographers with the effort directed by Vogue Italia creative director and stylist Ferdinando Verderi.
According to press on the effort, “Prada Linea Rossa fall winter 2020 campaign celebrates the new active collection with an exceptional cast of young and international talents from different parts of the world, globally influential figures and cultural game-changers.”
Linea Rossa’s sporty offerings make use of Extreme-Tex, stretch jersey, nylon and tech-knit textiles for a capsule comprised of puffer jackets, raincoats, zipper jacket, tops, turtlenecks, bucket hats and beanies, plus various Collision 19 LR low and Polarius 19 LR high sneakers.
Priced from $450 for a bucket hat up to $2,550 for a full-length puffer coat, the collection is now on prada.com.
