Following the launch of JLo Beauty on a brand website, entertainer and entrepreneur Jennifer Lopez has been busy this week promoting the brand’s debut at Sephora. The eight-piece, olive-oil-themed line consists of a sheet mask, cleanser, serum, highlighting complexion booster, eye cream SPF moisturize and night cream.
In a lead up to the Sephora launch Lopez took to Instagram post where she provided a look at her visage following use of JLo Beauty’s sheet mask. While Lopez’s 138 million followers mostly reacted affirmatively to the results, one commenter was not as impressed.
Responding with skepticism, one commenter wrote, “But can I just mention that brows and forehead doesn’t move at all when you talk or try to express… you definitely have Botox. And tons of it. And it’s all good. Just saying.”

“For the 500 millionth time, I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery … And here is another JLO Beauty secret: don’t spend your time trying to bring others down, that will keep you youthful & beautiful too!!” pic.twitter.com/iesyelJgKG
Like all celebrities Lopez is very good at ignoring naysayers, but for whatever reason the commenter’s certainty about her Botox usage brought out the Jenny from the block in Lopez. She wrote back, “LOL that’s just my face!!!! for the 100 millionth time…I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!! Just sayin’.”
Suggesting the commenter should start by buying JLo Beauty as a way to improve her appearance, Lopez added, “And here is another JLo Beauty secret: try spending you time being more positive, kind and uplifting of others don’t spend you time trying to bring other down that will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!!”
Prior to the post, Lopez had already stated she doesn’t use injectables on a Zoom call promoting the line. According to Daily Mail, Lopez told watchers, “I haven’t ever had Botox to this day,’ she added during a Zoom call on Wednesday to plug her line. ‘I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing. I’m more about a natural approach to skincare, but I want [my products] to work.”
While it’s widely assumed that female entertainers avail themselves of Botox, injectables and plastic surgery to maintain a youthful appearance, very few celebrities have ever admitted to using cosmetic procedures. In OK‘s round up of 15 celebrities who’ve admitted using Botox, there are only a handful of A-list names and exactly zero music creatives.
