Italian sports brand Diadora has partnered with New York-based agency Incorp[HER]ated on a Duratech Elite silhouette, a heritage silhouette first launched as a performance tennis shoe in the early ’90s.
Dubbed LIMITLESS, the silhouette’s name reflects Incorp[HER]ated’s goals of creating connections between companies and minority communities. The cheery turquoise and maroon shoe features a suede and leather upper highlighted by a holographic logo.
Founded in 2017 by Khiana Lowe and Brittany Edwards, Incorp[HER]ated bridges companies and individuals in part through an annual Straight to Feet workshop where New York middle and high school students are mentored by individuals with sneaker industry expertise on designing and marketing athletic shoes.
This year’s Diadora-sponsored workshop took place at Garrixon, a Philadelphia-based shoe design studio in collaboration with Greenhouse, a Foot Locker silo dedicated to innovation.
The winning team included members Amber Allen, Taylor Davidson, Hillary Edwards, Chayna Jones, and Ameré Johnson. The panel of judges featured Greenhouse marketing strategist Victoria Chiang; Garrixon vice president Kyle Riggle and Fashion Institute of Technology accessories design chairperson, Sarah Mullins.
Priced at $175, Diadora’s Duratech Elite LIMITLESS silhouette will launch on February 5, 2021 exclusively on the Greenhouse app.
