Known for championing sustainability and cruelty-free design, designer Stella McCartney has revealed a collection of pre-fall 2021 looks. Among the 38 looks, silhouettes cover all the wardrobe bases ranging from flowy dresses to sleek suiting. The London-based label also introduced some cool fleece separates and leggings inspired by McCartney’s long held affinity for skiing.
In an exchange with Vogue, McCartney spoke about a decision to limit stock in an effort to avoid waste. She explained, “A lot of these pieces are limited edition because when we run out, we run out. I don’t care if I’m cutting off my nose to spite my face, I’m going to save the bloody planet. I said, ‘Where did our faux fur go?’ They said, ‘Stella, we used it up last season!’ And so, some materials will have to be reordered, but really precisely, so we don’t incur any waste.”
