Spanish music creative Rosalía took to Instagram where she previewed a Nike sneaker described as an Air Force 1 Espadrille in the caption. And indeed, just like an espadrille, the shoe features extra long laces that can be wrapped around the leg. As well, the shoes upper and gum-colored midsole are joined by the distinct white cotton stitching the shoe is known for.
Rosalía over the past year or so has been spotted sporting some of Nike’s most coveted kicks in an ambassador role though it looks like the Air Force 1 Espadrille is a collaboration because it includes an insole that reads “We Just Did It, Rosalía.”
Given the enduring espadrille originated in Spain it makes perfect sense for Rosalía, who was born and raised in Barcelona.
