Rihanna and A$AP Rocky lit up New York last night while enjoying a date night at Barcade, an arcade bar located on St. Mark’s Place. Exuding pure summer time feels, Rihanna wore a vintage Dior by John Galliano pink slip dress, Dior Masai necklace, Fendi Baguette bag (via Vintage by Misty) plus Tom Ford sandals.
Clad in head-to-toe leather, Rocky took on the role of the perfect gentleman when he lent her his 1017 ALYX 9SM black jacket when the exited the establishment.
While Rihanna’s outfit was predictably chic, she did provide a surprise in the form of a tattoo change. Notably, she covered up the shark ink located on the top of her left foot, replacing it with a crown wrapping around her entire ankle.

Originally applied by artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy in late August 2016, fans speculated the tattoo was inspired a camouflaged stuffed shark Drake gifted her when they enjoyed a midnight dinner date at Toronto’s Ripley Aqua aquarium in early August. At the time, the music duo were in the beginning stages of a short-lived relationship.
When asked about the meaning of the tattoo at the time, McCurdy told Vanity Fair, “The significance is personal.” He went on to note that the marine-themed art was applied in Drake’s dressing room following a concert in Miami.
Not long after Rihanna’s shark appeared, eagle eye Drake fans noted he was sporting a matching version on his forearm. It’s not known whether Drake has updated his shark tattoo.
