Fresh off of a swimsuit collection, Adidas and Ivy Park have revealed a new capsule themed on denim. The effort was introduced with a campaign featuring Emmy-Award wining actor Glynn Turman, who is an accomplished horseman who has successfully competed in multiple rodeos, along with his granddaughter, Melinda Siegel.
While there aren’t a lot of details on what’s in the upcoming drop, the visual shows Turman and a female model wearing a denim jacket and jeans detailed with Adidas’ trademark three white stripes on he arm and leg plus a logo-covered denim shirt. Preview images also show a denim bucket cap.
Press on the New York-born Turnman describes him as having played roles in “A Different World,” “The Wire” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” Outside of entertainment, Turnman and his wife, Jo-Ann, co-founded and direct a free western-style summer camp, “Camp Gid D Up,” for inner-city and at-risk youth.
Along with denim pieces the upcoming collection also includes the debut of Adidas and Ivy Park’s Super Super Sleek sneaker and a navy Ultraboost. We’ve also spied four bucket caps, two of which are denim. Timing isn’t official, but is tentatively slated for an August 18-19, 2021 release.
