New Balance has linked up with sponsored tennis player Coco Gauff, the youngest ranked player in the top 100, on a lifestyle apparel collection paired with a 327 silhouette. The collection is highlighted by a 327 sneaker featuring a two-tone synthetic and mesh upper. The red side of the shoe is detailed with a gold chain graphic while the white side of the shoe is contrasted by a bright pink version of the shoe’s signature over-sized N logo.
Reflecting the 17-year-old Gauff’s love of a punchy graphic and color story, the coach’s jacket, jogger, shorts and various tops feature a rendering of her signature translated into a cherry red graffiti style print.
In a press release, Gauff explained, “I wanted to push it with the graphics and fit of the collection so I am pumped to finally see it in store and let fans get their hands on it.”
New Balance’s senior product manager Brittany Branch added, “We wanted to make sure that the same excitement Coco brought to all our design meetings was reflected in her collection and we are thrilled to see the product come to market while she is playing in New York.”
Priced from $35 for a graphic t-shirt up to $100 for a coach’s jacket and $99.99 for the 327, New Balance and Gauff’s collection will be available on newbalance.com and footlocker.com on August 26, 2021.
