Nike-sponsored tennis player Naomi Osaka stepped out onto the court at the U.S. Open on Tuesday in Queens, New York, wearing her latest collaborative sneaker with the sport brand. Handily winning her first match, the 23-year old landed the win wearing her version of NikeCourt Air Zoom G Turbo (style code: DC9164-100) offered in a U.S. Open colorway. Minus the upper detailing, the shoe is also available in digital pink and fierce purple.
The lively shoe features a denim-washed upper detailed with a Japanese and Haitian flag, reflecting not only her place of birth but also that of her mother and father. Repping for the city the competition takes place in, the shoe is also detailed with an NY patch and a gold chain lace dubrae. Finishing things off, the heel is decorated with Nike and Osaka’s logo.
Priced at $150, Osakay’s NikeCourt Air Zoom GP Turbo sneaker is now available on nike.com.
