Tokyo-based UNIQLO has announced timing for the second fall 2021 collection with Mame Kurogouchi, a Japanese label lead by Maiko Kurogouchi. The lingerie and loungewear capsule combines Korogouchi’s talent for chic minimalism with UNIQLO’s proprietary fabrics, such as 3D knit technology and AIRism cotton and mesh detailing that limits perspiration Working off of a warm greys and off-white palette, pieces can be worn alone or layered with other garments.
Commenting on her design inspiration in press, Kurogouchi explained, “My wish in designing clothes is to give women an extra bit of confidence, to help them stand tall and proud as they go about their day. This collection is centered around the most intimate items in a woman’s closet, and I thought about which elements would best bring out a woman’s inner confidence and beauty. I wanted to create garments that would help each woman feel beautiful without worrying about anyone else’s standards.”
Ranging in price from $7.90-$79.90, look for UNIQLO and Mame Kurogouchi’s second fall collection to launch on uniqlo.com on November 26, 2021.
