Graffiti artist Claudia Gold celebrates the 20th anniversary of her Claw Money moniker with a series of collaborations with 12 different women who will be announced each month. The effort begins with a collaboration with jewelry designer Julie Lamb who created a charm inspired by a 1995-era subway token.
Available in gold and silver, the token’s round center is swapped out for Claw’s signature claw motif and is engraved along the perimeter with the phrases “locally grown,” “4 ever,” “NYC” and “Claw Money”.
Claw announced the collab with Lamb on Instagram where she wrote, “The first, with native New Yorker @julielambny 🐑✨ Growing up in Brooklyn, Julie used to ride the train into Manhattan daily and was intrigued by the city, the streets and the graffiti! Julie’s most iconic pieces pay homage to NYC’s subway tokens of days gone by – only this time forged with precious metals and gemstones. A perfect brand match as both our focus is always on city life.”
Ranging in price from $295 for sterling silver up to $3,250 for 18K gold, Claw and Lamb’s token necklace is now available on julielambny.com.
