As part a 40th anniversary celebration, Michael Kors has partnered with emerging accessories brand Ashya. The brainchild of Ashley Cimone and Moya Annece, Brooklyn-based Ashya has been at the forefront of understated and refined leather accessories. Winners of CFDA’s Elaine Gould Launch Pad grant, Ashya have consistently championed sustainability and innovation with their designs and brand story.
In an exchange with WWD on the collaboration, chief creative officer Michael Kors said, “I’ve been following them, and I knew and admired their work. It’s sophisticated and smart. We reached out to learn more and I met with Ashley and Moya and we just clicked. I liked their unique point of view, how thoughtful they are about their work, and their focus on craftsmanship and utility. We found a lot of common ground: an appreciation for pared-down luxury, a passion for travel, and of course, a love of New York City.”
Price at $298 for the Bolo and $498 for the Multi, both bags are now available in black and brown on michaelkors.com.
