It appears Jordan has tapped Chicago native and visual artist Nina Chanel Abney for an upcoming collab. Working off the brand’s Retro 2 silhouette, the white and red shoe features black shoelaces with a hang tag featuring her artwork.
Abney isn’t new to sneaker collabs. In October 2020, she partnered with Converse and sneaker boutique Social Status on a All Star sneaker paying homage to then vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Images of the shoe first surfaced on Instagram account @appololuo1976, which is known for revealing early pairs.
Abney’s Air Jordan Retro 2 sneakers is said to be launching in July 2022. Stay tuned for further updates.
