Heritage streetwear label Stüssy provided a surprise this weekend when it revealed a collab with Belgian luxury label Dries Van Noten. The partnership was unveiled on Stüssy’s Instagram account with the caption “Stüssy & Dries Van Noten… c-ya soon.”
The post included a visual featuring the Red Hot Chili Pepper‘s bassist Flea (real name Michael Balzary), who was shot by photographer and filmmaker Tyrone Lebon, who has a long history working with Stüssy.” The collaboration was also teased by A$AP Nast on Instagram stories.
This will be Puig-owned Dries Van Noten’s second brand collaboration. In 2020, the label partnered with Christian Lacroix on a spring/summer capsule.
Known for his use of prints and artful texture contrasts, this collaboration promises to be noteworthy.
