Arriving just in time for summer 2023’s party season, H&M‘s capsule collaboration with Mugler is serving up some sizzling, nightlife-worthy looks. Designed in partnership with Casey Cadwallader, who’s been the head creative at the French label since 2018, the collection combines bodycon tops and bottoms detailed with mesh and studs alongside denim pieces and accessories, all of which are inspired by some Mugler’s signature looks.
In addition to the capsule, the collection will include a series of very special, limited-edition archive remakes, selected by Cadwallader for their contemporary resonance and their testimony to label founder Manfred Thierry Mugler’s enduring impact on the fashion landscape. According to Twitter account @MIUCClAMUSE, one of the looks is a black dress from Thierry Mugler’s fall 1991 runway, along with a snatched-waist suited look from the label’s spring 1994 runway.
“I was determined for this collection to be true Mugler,” Cadwallader said in a press relese. “The details and quality of every piece had to be exactly as we do them, and I wanted to showcase the energy of Mugler, which has always been about clothes that allow for personal liberation. You can be so many different versions of yourself in Mugler.”
