Eponymos Danish label Cecilie Bahnsen has indicated a continuation of its ongoing parnership with Asics through the reveal of a monochrome black Gel-Quantum 360 7 sneaker adorned with black flower appliqués, which have become a signature of the brands’ efforts together. The shoe was shown as part of the label’s spring 2024 “Faraway, So Close!” runway show, shown during Paris Fashion Week.
LVMH-Prize finalist Cecelie Bahnsen showed its debut shoe with Asics as part of the label’s spring 2023 collection. Thus, far the two brands have worked together on a Gel-1130 and GT-2160 silhouette. The label also created an extremely limited upcyled capsule of 50 shoes per SKU, making use of the Gel-1090, Gel-1130, Gel-Nimbus 9, Gel-Nimbus 23 and Gel-Nimbus 24.
While Asics and Cecil Bahnsen’s collaboration may not garner as much press coverage as an Air Jordan 1 drop, fans of the effort are low-key obsessed with the shoes, and because the size run is limited it’s always challenging to obtain a pair.
While pricing and exact timing isn’t yet available. Cecilie Bahnsen has said the Gel-Quantum 360 7 will launch in limited quanities in “early 2024” on ceceliebahnsen.com.
