New York-based women’s streetwear label MadeMe, helmed by Erin Magee, recently unveiled a preview of its collaboration with Hole, a ’90s-era punk founded founded by Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson. The capsule features hoodies, t-shirts, tank tops and shorts, emblazoned with MadeMe and Hole iconography.
The collaboration was previewed in Homme Girls Issue No. 11 with a Omahyra Mota cover story. Mota modeled looks from the capsule and participated in an insightful interview alongside Magee.
In the exchange, Magee and Mota engaged in a candid conversation, delving into the creative process behind the collaboration and reflecting on its significance. Magee, in particular, shared an anecdote about her personal connection to the grunge aesthetic, explaining, “My mom couldn’t buy the t-shirts for whatever reason, so I remember writing the lyrics and some drawings on a shirt with a sharpie. And that was my grunge shirt, you know what I mean?”
MadeMe and Hole’s capsule will launch on May 9th on mademenyc.com.
