New York-based Hanifa founded and designed by Anifa Mvuembahas, has revealed its 2024 collection. Appropriately titled “It Girl,” the looks are a nod to the label’s customer who isn’t shy about enjoying a pop out fashion moment. Previewed during the Hanifa pop-up store in New York this week, the collection features the brand’s signature use of bold prints, ribbed knits, and ostrich feathers paired with burgundy tones, Mongolian fur and denim.
Established in 2012, Hanifa has built a loyal customer base that actively shapes its designs, such as the pointed toe boot, added after multiple requests by customers on social media. The brand fills a market gap by offering chic apparel in an inclusive range of sizes.
In a conversation with Mvuemba, at the New York pop-up we discussed retail stores following the closure of her Baltimore location several years ago. Mvuemba firmly believes in timing and expanding on her own terms, ensuring that the brand maintains the integrity and authenticity she has built over the past decade.
The Hanifa fall 2024 collection with be available on October 26th on hanifa.co. See some of our favorite looks below.
