London-based Phoebe Philo’s second collection, titled “Collection B,” introduces the eponymous label’s first-ever printed logo t-shirt, which we predict will be a bestseller. Beloved by high-fashion aficionados and streetwear enthusiasts alike, designer Philo’s inclusion of a logo tee feels like a nod to streetwear culture, where grails and coveted pieces become sought-after collectibles. The Phoebe Philo logo tee may also serve as a response to the “quiet luxury” trend, a minimalist aesthetic often associated with her brand.
The “Collection B” preview features 35 looks, all of which are uniquely opulent as her debut collection. Standouts include shearling coats with matching pants, separates, draped asymmetrical dresses, her signature square-toe shoe, bags, sunglasses and a fringe necklace.
Providing editors with a fist-time opportunity to touch and feel the collection, Philo and her London-based team showcased much of the collection in Paris in late September, offering a glimpse into how she has evolved certain styles while keeping others deeply rooted in her signature aesthetic.
With a minority investment by LVMH, Philo is one of the few to claim majority ownership of a signature brand following creative director roles at LVMH-owned Celine– and Richemont-owned Chloé.
