Atlanta-based A Ma Manière has provided a look at Converse Chuck 70, adorned with Nike‘s famed Swoosh. The addition of the famed logo is significant because it’s the first time Nike has allowed a brand to place the Swoosh on a pair of Converse. Notably, Off-White designer Virgil Abloh when working on “The 10” collection, proposed placing a Swoosh on a pair of Chuck 70 kicks, but was told it wasn’t allowed.
A Ma Maniére’s take on the Chuck 70 is a friends-and-family exclusive that was gifted to attendees of A Ma Manière’s dinner celebrating the brand’s “While You Were Sleeping” film premiere, held in London on December 12, 2024. The film is part of the label’s “While You Were Sleeping” capsule featuring shoes made in collaboration with Nike, Jordan and Converse.
“While You Were Sleeping” will be screened for the public in multiple cities including Atlanta, Georgia, Charlotte, North Carolina; Houston, Texas; New York and Washington D.C.
