LVMH-owned Louis Vuitton tapped house ambassador Zendaya Coleman to star in campaign for the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collection.The highly anticipated collection celebrates 20 years of collaboration between the iconic Japanese artist and the luxury maison.
Unlike 20 years ago, the house now wields powerful social media tools to amplify the global allure of this collaboration, potentially reaching record-breaking levels of earned media.The collection comprises of over 200 items, including Louis Vuitton’s signature products, bags, belts, perfumes and skateboards. Originally launched by Marc Jacobs during his tenure as Louis Vuitton’s creative director, Louis Vuitton Men’s creative director Pharrell Williams is credited with the reboot.
The January 1st release will be followed by a spring release in March.
