Rihanna made an appearance on Ajay Porter’s @Mysteryfashionist Instagram this past week. Her custom hat, credited as being by “a guy, not a brand,” stood out as fan favorite. The custom hat is the work of Pratt graduate Mark Sabino. Sabino’s Instagram handle, @marksnotnice, features the tagline: “a guy, not a brand.” The New York-based artist and designer first gained attention for his custom Yankee bucket hat, for Rihanna which appeared in a SavageX Fenty campaign in 2020.
As a custom piece the hat itself is not available for sale, however Sabatino does release limited edition pieces and artwork on his website, marksabinodesign.com.
