Music creative SZA (real name Solána Rowe) on the second anniversary of her critically acclaimed SOS album, took to Instagram to tease upcoming album Lana, a reissue of SOS featuring new and previoiusly unreleased tracks. The highly anticipated release is slated to release in December 2024, sparking excitement among fans eager for new music.
Originally released on December 9, 2022, SOS has solidified its place as a modern classic. The album earned multiple awards, including Album of the Year at the 2023 BET Awards (tying with Beyoncé‘s Renaissance) and the 2023 Soul Train Awards. It also earned a nomination for Album of the Year at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
Further cementing its legacy, SOS was ranked number 351 on Rolling Stone‘s 2023 update of their 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, securing its place in music history.
