During Florence-based Avavav’s “The Hole” fall 2025 runway show during Milan Fashion Week, the brand unveiled two striking new sneaker collaborations with Adidas Originals along with apparel: the Moonrubber Megaride and the Modified Superstar. For this second collaboration AVAVAV’s creative director Beate Skonare Karlsson was given complete creative freedom to reimagin Adidas’ signature styles with the brand’s signature exaggerated aesthetics and style-forward approach.
Karlsson expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating,”It’s been an honor to develop two completely new footwear models with Adidas Originals. Much time and play went into this, and I’m so happy we’re finally revealing them.”
The Moonrubber Megaride and Modified Superstar push the boundaries of traditional sneaker design, reflecting AVAVAV’s disruptive fashion ethos. The reveal marks another step in Adidas Originals’ ongoing efforts to merge high fashion with streetwear innovation and take bold risks.
