Heron Preston held his debut runway presentation yesterday (January 15, 2019) in Paris where his men’s and women’s collection included a collaboration with Ugg and Nike.
Preston work off of the Huarache E.D.G.E., a silhouette inspired by the 1991 Huarache Run. New features include foam fit system that positions the foot directly on the foam rather than a sockliner featured on the original version. In addition to the mini-Swoosh on the heel, the sneaker is branded with Preston’s signature motifs on the heel and toe box.
The shoe marks the first time Preston has collaborated with Nike, a company he once worked for. “I’m all about telling stories,” said Preston in a press statement. “Having worked at Nike and understanding the full breadth of product categories the brand has to offer, I wanted to be the person to take on the challenge of identifying and celebrating new stuff.”
Look for Nike and Preston’s shoe to launch on nike.com on February 1, 2019.
