Dior Homme presented its fall 2019 collection in Paris on Friday (January 18, 2019), a collection that included jewelry designed by Yoon Ahn, who was appointed to the label by head creative Kim Jones in April 2018. Her fall jewelry designs mark her second collection with Dior Homme.
Ahn’s designers are highlighted by a wide link bracelet, brass knuckles and a loupe ( a magnification device used by jewelers). The jewelry offerings include a redesign of the Dior CD logo by punk-rooted artist/illustrator Raymond Pettibon.
According to Dior press: “Christian Dior’s personal obsessions and superstitious nature are the theme behind the jewelry by Yoon Ahn, featuring mementos and charms, worn like amulets and as charm bracelets. the Dior CD emblem becomes the fastening on a safety pin. it simultaneously speaks of punk–of the now, and the contemporary art of Raymond Pettibon–and the world of haute couture.”
