Nike and Sacai have announced plans for an apparel capsule to accompany their next LDWaffle and Blazer collaboration, an effort that’s been been a huge success story for both brands thus far.
This will mark Nike and Sacai’s second collaborative clothing effort with the two brands having first linked in 2015 on a collection of women’s clothing and footwear.
According to Nike press, “The 11-piece collection combines the past and present of Nike’s running apparel innovations through a tour de force of strikingly-contrasted logos, patterns, colors and hemlines.”
Highlighted items in the drop include a reconstructed Nike Windrunner jacket and Tiempo shorts and a skirt, all of which reflect Sacai designer Chitose Abe‘s love of layered constructions. Color-wise, the collection coordinates with the mainly grey scale color theme of the LDWaffle and Blazer silhouettes that accompany the clothing.
The lookbook for the capsule features rising tennis star Naomi Osaka as well as 11-year-old skater Sky brown.
As of now there’s no pricing for this capsule, which will launch on Nike’s SNKRS app on September 12, 2019.
