As part of its “We Are Cultivator” creative incubator platform, Nike has revealed a collaboration with psychotherapist Liz Beecroft, a mental health advocate.
Working of Nike’s Air Max 270 silhouette, the white shoe is detailed with fluorescent green panels, reflecting the official color of Mental Health Awareness Month. At the same time, the shoe is adorned with a wavy version of Nike’s Swoosh, reflecting the simple truth that mental health healing is rarely a linear event. Additionally, “Have a Nice Day” sits atop the tongue while “In My Feels” stitching appears on the heel.
Walking the walk, Beecroft has committed to donating a portion of sales from the shoe and associated merch to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.
Beecroft was among of 28 New York artists, musicians, activists, athletes and designers selected to create a limited one-time drop shoe. You can find all the participants and their shoes here.
Priced at $180 and available in women’s sizes 5-12, Nike and Beecroft’s “In My Feels Nike Air Max 270 React is now available for purchase on nike.com. The shoe will be available to purchase through September 2, 2019.
