Nike SB and SrangeLove Skateboards as lead by Sean Cliver are turning heads with an adorable, Valentine’s Day-themed version of a Dunk Low (style code: CT2552-800). The shoe features a crushed white velvet upper with a red crushed velvet Swoosh and pink suede overlays while the back of the shoe is detailed with the brand’s signature heart-shaped skull logo.
Making the heartfelt story complete, the shoe is finished with a translucent pink outsole and sole covered with hearts and skulls throughout.
California-based StrangeLove initially planned to launch the shoe on February 1, 2020 on its webstore, but the plan was “crushed” because of bot activity.
On an Instagram post, Cliver explained, “The raging botbarians at the gate broke in the back door and created a monumental mess for us this evening. Fortunately a plan was already in place to get shoes into the hands of our most loyal and supportive customers, but we regret to inform everyone else that tomorrow’s launch has been cancelled and we will not be selling them on the site.”
Priced at $100, Nike and StrangeLove’s shoe will launch at the StrangeLove store and select retailers (see list in Instagram post below) on February 7th. The shoe will go live on Nike’s SNKRS app on February 8th.
