Doja Cat takes a page out of ’70s-era style and dance moves for her “Say So” visual, an infectious single from Doja’s (real name Amalaratna Dlamini) sophomore album Hot Pink, released in November of 2019.
While not one of the album lead singles, “Say So” is now running away with streams thanks to a viral dance move associated with the single. In a very savvy move, Doja recruited the TikTok user who created the dance, Haley Sharpe, to appear in the video. She also invited popular TikTok dancer Donté Colley to appear in the video.
The visual was directed by Hannah Lux Davis with styling by Brett Alan Nelson. Doja wore several looks including a No Sesso knit backless knit dress, as well as a custom, bedazzled butterfly Garosparo dress and headpiece, all paired with Stuart Weitzman shoes.
Recently, Doja performed this song on the “The Jimmy Fallon Show” and she is set to kick off her “Hot Pink” tour on March 25th in Chicago.
