Bravo scripted reality show “Vanderpump Rules” has cut ties with original cast members, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute. The decision to let them go was spurred by an interview last week with former cast member Faith Stowers, who revealed that Schroeder and Doute in 2018 made a false report to the police for a crime covered in the Daily Mail she had nothing to do with.
Bravo also cut off new cast members Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, following the discovery of racially-charged tweets uncovered during their debut on the eighth season of the show, which kicked off in January.

Bravo issued a statement on Tuesday reading, “Bravo and Evolution Media confirmed today that Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni will not be returning to Vanderpump Rules.”
According to Variety, Schroeder was also dropped by her agency, UTA, and her public relations firm, Metro Public Relations yesterday.
Following the announcement, Stowers told Page Six, “I feel so vindicated studios and production are able to see blatant racism and make these positive changes and help move the race forward, help with the fight forward.”
Stowers, the only black cast member to ever appear on the show, appeared on season four of “Vanderpump Rules,” and didn’t share camera time with Schroeder and Doute, but concluded they called the police in retaliation for Stowers’ relationship with another cast member.
In an exchange with Candace Rice of “MTV Floribama Shores” on Instagram live last week, Stowers explained, “There was this article out with an African American lady. It was a weird photo so she looked very very light skin and had these different weird tattoos. This women was robbing people and stealing gold bars. The woman was at large, she was drugging them, she was on a mission.
“And they called the cops and said it was me. And, this is a true story. I actually heard this from Stassi’s [now-deleted B*tch Bible podcast] interview [in 2018], she was telling them what they did to me. They called the cops on me. The police say, ‘Oh, that sounds crazy, we’re not coming. That’s not Faith. We looked it up, that’s not her. It was somebody else.’ And it’s funny they thought it was me because it was a black woman with a weave.”
Stowers also expressed disappointment with “Vanderpump Rules” executive producer Lisa Vanderpump, who encourage her to take on the persona of an outspoken black woman akin to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Nene Leakes.
