New colorways of Nike and Japanese label Sacai‘s upcoming hybrid sneaker called the Pegasus Vaporwaffle have emerged, bringing the total number of colors to four.
New colorways include black/summit white/pure platinum (style code: CV1363-001) and tour yellow/stadium green/sail (style code: CV1363-700). Previously revealed colors are sail/sport fuchsia/light bone/game royal and string/black/villain red/Neptune green.
Sacai designer Chitose Abe is all about a layered statement and there’s plenty of that with this shoe, which features a mesh upper detailed with a double Swoosh plus a leather heel and suede toe.
The shoe’s most distinct feature is the midsole which extends out from the back of the shoe making it appear as thought the shoe is sitting on a platform. Staying with the layered theme, the shoe is meant to be worn with two sets of laces.
The effort is a follow up to Nike and Sacai’s insanely popular LD Waffle silhouette, which made its debut in a blue multi colorway in May 2019.
The shoe is priced at $180 and is estimated to launch in fall 2020. Like many Nike launches this year, the launch date for this collaborative effort was likely pushed out and will remain nebulous until Nike provides an official announcement.
