London-based Casablanca as led by Stevie Grimes debuted its fall 2021 “Grand Prix” collection that included the debut of New Balance new silhouette called the XC-72. Similar to New Balance’s popular 327, the shoe blends the vintage appeal of ’80s-era running shoe with current technology and fabrications.
Casablanca’s rendition of the shoe features a white leather and grey suede upper, an orange over-sized N and a green outsole that wraps around the front of the shoe. The white, orange and green color scheme mimics the color story for Casablanca’s very first collaboration with New Balance on the 327 last spring.
While New Balance hasn’t announced it officially, the XC-72 shoe is said to be designed by London-based Charlotte Lee, who also designed the 327.
As of now, there’s no timing or pricing for New Balance and Casablanca’s XC-72 shoe.
