Atlanta-based sneaker boutique A Ma Maniére‘s much-anticipated “Raised by Women” Air Jordan 3 (style code: DH3434-110) women’s sneaker and apparel capsule has been moved out from April 21, 2021 to April 28th.
The three store, Atlanta-based boutique made the change to allow its customers to process the outcome of the trial of ex-Minneapolis police officer Derick Chauvin, who was found guilty on April 20, 2021 of all three charges for killing George Floyd.
Reflecting on the emotional event, A Ma Maniére owner James Whitner wrote on Instagram, “This day and this moment cannot be overshadowed by sneakers. We must take the time to take stock of what this moment means for Black people and what we must demand from our criminal and justice system.
“As we say justice served, more lives are lost. A 15-year old Black girl lost her life yesterday as the verdict was announced. It’s a constant empty feeling for us, our reality is never easy. We need this time to come together and look after one another, nothing is bigger than our community right now.
Prior to announcing plans to move out the official launch, A Ma Maniére had already held a women’s exclusive raffle that ended on April 17, 2021 and a general raffle that closed on April 18th.
In addition to the Jordan 3 sneaker, apparel offerings include a bomber jacket, hoodie, long-sleeve t-shirt, t-shirt, two cargo pant silhouettes and basketball shorts.
Jordan and A Ma Maniére’s adult-sized Retro 3 sneaker is priced at $200 and will be available in women’s, kid’s and toddler sizing. The shoe is accompanied by a coordinated apparel capsule launching on amamaniere.com and amamaniere-projects.com at 12:00 PM EST on April 28, 2021.
If you don’t want to wait that long, the sneaker is now available on stockx.com with pricing starting at $499.
