Harlem-born rapper A$AP Rocky has spilled the beans in a June-July GQ cover story shot by Inez and Vinoodh for GQ‘s June issue. Most significantly the 32-year confirms his long rumored relationship with Robyn Rihanna Fenty, who has been spotted with Flacko on numerous dinner dates over the past few months.
Describing Rihanna as “the love of my life.” He goes on to describe being in a committed relationship as “so much better,” and referencing her “You Da One” single, adds, “So much better when you got the one. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. think when you know, you know. She’s the one.”
Rocky also weighed in on his December 2020 visit to Rihanna’s home in Barbados, an island he has a connection to through his father who was born there.
While well known for fully enjoying the life of a handsome bachelor, Rocky also confirms he’s open to having children. He adds, “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely. I think I’m already a dad! All these motherfuckers are already my son, whatchu talking ’bout! Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.”
Reflecting their shared music connection, Rocky added that Rihanna has impacted his upcoming album, tentatively titled All Styles. Describing her as “absolutely” influencing his new work, he added, “It’s just a different point of view.”
The title of the album itself reflects a happier mindset, which Rocky confirms. Describing the album’s theme as “a ghetto love story,” he adds that the content is “way more mature.”
