Harlem-born talk shoe host and designer Kerwin Frost has followed up on news of his multi-year collaborative partnership with Adidas with a reveal of a Super-Stuffed Superstar sneaker (style code: GY5167). Taking the unexpected approach that’s become his signature, Frost designed the shoe so it appears to look larger on the foot than it actually is. While the shoe fits true to size, akin to a clown shoe the sneaker is described as looking five times bigger on the foot than it actually is.
Making use of the shoe’s classic white and black leather upper, the shoe is detailed with gold branding alongside the lateral stripe, as well as on the tongue patch and insole. Tapping into construction usually used with skateboard sneakers, the shoe’s tongue and collar are extra puffy.
While there’s no pricing, Adidas and Frost’s Super-Stuffed Superstar will launch in August 2021. It will be followed by a larger collection later in the year.
