Previewed during Tobe Nwigwe’s electrifying performance last December at #SoleDX in Dubai, Reebok made the official announcement of a co-branded collection with the rapper and actor Tobe Nwigwe this Sunday, January 7th.
The “Reebok by Chukwu” capsule line will feature mint-colored pieces for men, women, and children, including a zip-up vest, jacket, pants, and skirt. Additionally, the collection introduces white lace-up sneakers with brown rubber soles.
In press about the collaboration Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration’s potential impact, stating, “Collaborating with creatives and hip-hop artists has been an integral piece of Reebok’s heritage since the ‘90s. We are thrilled to continue this legacy and partner with a true creative visionary like Tobe.” Krinsky further emphasized Nwigwe’s influence, stating, “Tobe is coming in with incredible energy and a strong point of view on fashion and culture. I can’t wait to see how this translates into his upcoming collections and work with us.”
Reebok and Tobe Nwigwe’s first collection will be released in the fall. Enjoy a look at the Instagram video announcement below.
