This summer, model and entrepreneur Raven Tracy celebrated the grand opening of her flagship Body By Raven Tracy boutique on Los Angeles’ iconic Melrose Avenue. The chic and playful retail space, stocked with the label’s full collection, was designed by interior designer Tiffany Thompson of Duett Interiors. This project marks Thompson’s first foray into retail design, a milestone she shared with her followers on Instagram.
Thompson revealed that the objective was to create a youthful, futuristic brick-and-mortar location that would both inspire and surprise the boutique’s clientele. She drew inspiration from her visits to Tokyo and tailored the design to align with Tracy’s vision for her brand. “The question was, how do we bring that feeling to life in a physical space?” Thompson reflected. “I remember going into stores in my teens and being so excited about well-designed spaces. I still get inspired by retail and make it a mission to explore new retail spaces when I travel.”
Further elaborating on her design philosophy, Thompson added, “Retail is often a place of imagination and exploration, and I’m so happy I got to bring my client’s vision to life. As I’ve explored what I want my legacy to be, it also includes public spaces—spaces that everyone can enjoy and get a little piece of my mind.”The store features include a custom photobooth for customers to use free of charge, a bikini wall and sculpture mannnequin wall.
The Body by Raven Tracy store is located on 7313 Melrose avenue in Los Angeles.
