Danish stylist and jewelry designer Veneda Carter this week took to Instagram where she previewed Nike new Air Max Muse. The shoe’s upper features a black mesh and silver overlay with an outsole defined by a heel featuring a a bubble-shaped air pocket akin to Nike’s Air Max Portal silhouette.
The shoe was first spotted on gymnast Jordan Chiles who wore a pair of Air Max Muse sneakers to throw out the first pitch at a Mets game in September.
While Carter hasn’t officially been announced as a Nike ambassador, she’s posted images she’s styled for Nike Women on Instagram, and when she wears sneakers on her feed, they’re almost always a pair of Nike kicks.
In addition to styling work, Carter also designs jewelry, a role she entered through a collaboration with fine jewelry label Fie Isolde, an L.A.-based namesake label whose founder is also Danish.
Born in Copenhagen where she was raised by Polish parents, Carter (née Budny) moved to Berlin to further her modeling career and eventually landed in New York. Ye spotted her on Instagram in 2016 and recruited her to work for Yeezy, spurring her move to Los Angeles at age 23. While working for Yeezy, she began styling Kim Kardashian on the side.
She met her husband, Weston Carter, in a Los Angeles supermarket in 2018. Not long after they moved in together, Carter discovered she was pregnant. The couple married and after baby Bobbi was born, Carter chose not to return to her role at Yeezy, instead kicking off her career as a freelance stylist.
