Château Rouge is a neighborhood in the 18th arrondissement in Paris, known for its large concentration of businesses and residents from various countries in Africa. Maison Château Rouge, the brainchild of Claire Mosteghanemi, is a nod to the neighborhood of the same name, but also a reflection of the designer’s wish to create fashion that bridges traditional African dressmaking styles and contemporary fashion. Made of wax cloth, each jersey is produced in limited quantities. You can see available styles and colors here.
