Puma‘s more active participation in the world of sneaker culture over the past year or so has been fun to watch. When it comes to collaborations, the brand may not always nab the big names a la Nike and Ricardo Tisci and Adidas with Pharrell and Kanye, but when it does partner it tends to choose folks viewed as deeply authentic tastemakers like Solange Knowles, Rihanna and with its latest endeavor, new darling of the menswear category Aimé Leon Dore.
Founded by Teddy Santis in 2014, the brand’s first lookbook had all the sneaker blogs raising the roof with praise and not surprisingly, the fall offerings evaporated upon arrival. For Puma, Aimé Leon Dore applies its keep-it-simple aesthetic, which meshes perfectly with the simply lines of Puma’s States silhouette. Featuring a perforated leather upper, the shoes are available in three color combinations: burgundy and gold, grey and navy, and cream and burgundy with two colorways featuring leather laces. Are three colors will launch tomorrow, exclusively on Aimé Leon Dore.
