It’s been reported the Rihanna is in the midst of not just preparing for the release of her next album, but is also planning the launch of her own fashion label called $CHOOL KIlls. According to Grazia Daily, “an application was filed last month at the US Patent and Trademarks Office by Rihanna’s company, Roraj Trade, LLC, for a new brand, $CHOOL KIlls. It was registered and trademarked in New York on 11 May under the category of ‘leather products’ and ‘clothing products.'”
If the rumors are true, one would have to assume the label name was inspired by Korean designer Hyein Seo, whose Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts graduate collection was titled “Bad Education” and prominently featured the tagline “School Kills” on several items.
While Seo is not as widely known as a designer, Rihanna helped raise her profile when she wore a “Fear” stole from the designer’s Autumn 2014 collection. More recently, she sported the “School Kills” t-shirt (above), which she undoubtedly picked up on a visit to Vfiles while spending time in New York. Whether or not Seo is involved with Rihanna’s fashion label plans is unknown.
