Blood Orange as lead by Dev Hynes has released a visual for a single released over the weekend called “Sandra Smile,” a tribute to Sandra Bland, who died under suspicious circumstances in police custody in July. The video is directed by Hynes and shot by Jack Pearce. Look for a cameo appearance by musicians Jungle Pussy and Ian Isiah plus a dance performance by Waffle Crew. In good news for Blood Orange fans, the group also has announced plans for a benefit live performance at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on December 12th.
