Asics Tiger is cuing up a new sneaker inspired by the lavender flowers found in Paul Cezanne’s mountain paintings of Mount St.Victoire. The bloom and the color are viewed as possessing calm/cooling qualities, making the Gel Lyte V Asics “Aix-en-Provence” a perfectly appropriate summer sneaker.
A staple of sneaker culture, the Gel Lyte silhouette has grown in popularity due in part to creative collaborations with Kith founder Ronnie Fieg. Asics has kept the original model updated with new comfort features and the V includes a gel pad at the heel and forefront, along with a sleeker toe design.
This shoe is unisex and launches July 29th at select retailers.
