Los-Angeles-based designer Melody Ehsani has linked with the Sanrio character with who she shares a name, My Melody, on a collection of clothing, shoes and accessories with branding that combines distinct elements from both brands, including Ehsani’s block “ME” logo and of course, the distinct bunny ears My Melody is known for.
Items include a cropped windbreaker, a velour suit, a terry jacket and short set plus terry slides, plus earrings, bracelets, rings and pins in a mix of materials.
Featuring Iranian-American actress Yara Shahidi (now appearing in “Blackish”), the label’s lookbook is fun, bright and very California-ish, and frankly just the tonic we need following the news from yesterday’s election.
The full collection launches November 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM PST.
