Dev Hynes and Blood Orange have released a video for the single “Better Than Me,” featuring “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen. The single is from Hynes third album, Freetown Sound, released in June 2016. Jepsen may seem an unusual choice to work with Hynes, but he wrote her single “All That,” from her 2015 EP, Emotion.
The video was directed by Hynes with dance moves choreographed by Juri Onuki. Stylist Emily Schubert put the dancers in simple gray suits, a uniform of sorts that is meant to contrast with the care free dance moves.
