Justine Skye Releases Debut Roc Nation EP ‘8 Ounces

New York r&b singer Justine Skye aka Purple Unicorn has released nine-song EP, 8 Ounces, her first project since signing with Roc Nation earlier this year.

Explaining the title, Sky told Genius, “Eight ounces is the average weight of the female heart. Now that I’m 21, I’m meeting different people from different parts of the world and I’m figuring out myself more and figuring out guys more. This whole EP is my diary of situations that I’ve gone through since my last project.”

Produced and written by  The Dream and Tricky Stewart, the EP is full of sultry, beautifully produced gems sure to make the hearts of r&b music lovers swoon. Our fave is probably “Jezebel,” which take a more artful approach and brings to the forefront Skye’s New York-informed swag and sass.

Can't explain what it means to me that I'm able to share this project with you all.
